When a little Black girl stood alone in a public park, the world walked by in silence.
No one paused. No one asked if she was okay. She was rendered invisible, disposable, normalized by a system that has conditioned all of us to equate innocence, value, and safety with whiteness.
Later, a little white girl stood in the exact same spot, alone.
