I don't think many cis people truly understand how bad the climate is for trans people right now. I live in Michigan, which is a safe state. Every trans person can name the safe states, is either glad they live in one or trying to get to one. By "safe state" I mean one with reproductive rights, expansive nondiscrimination laws, where trans healthcare is legal & it's possible to change your documents without too much hassle. These are all blue states, naturally. (1/n)
