Over the years I’ve done a lot of commentary criticizing common practices and patterns in mainstream media and journalism. The criticism was never about an individual person or network but a system that has perpetuated harm and inequities. What happened to Joy Reid also happened to Tiffany Cross and Melissa Harris-Perry. Black women, great journalists all dedicated to amplifying the Black community.
